May SMC event open for registration

It would be hard to top last month’s panel on social media and politics, but we’re going to give it a whirl. The topic this month is the love-it-or-hate-it social media press release, and SMC co-founder Cynthia Baker has lined up four experts to take us through the pros and cons, hows, whys and whens:

  • Kevin Dill, president of Austin-based Press Release News Network
  • Omar Gallaga, tech journalist and blogger for the Austin American-Statesman
  • Clint Howell, account executive for BusinessWire, Austin/San Antonio
  • Michael Pranikoff, director of emerging media for PRNewswire, Washington, D.C.

Thursday, May 17, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
ZACH | Zachary Scott Theatre Center

Please note: we anticipate this event will be a sell-out, so please reserve your space as quickly as possible. The $5 registration fee helps to cover the cost of renting the venue.

Austin Tech Happy Hour
Molotov Lounge
May 17th from 6-8p

Great idea, Omar! We’ll brew some strong coffee and try to keep the heckling at a minimum. I’m looking forward to meeting you — thanks for being one of our panelists.
