Pluck, Second Life and Jelly in Austin
Pluck Rocks!
If you didn’t hear Pluck’s Adam Weinroth speak on social media last week at Social Media Club Austin, then you missed an excellent presentation. Sometimes the world of social media can feel very theoretical. Adam’s real world experiences in working with major media outlets was very enlightening and extremely well presented. Let us know if you would like a copy of Adam’s PowerPoint deck and we’ll get it to you.
Second Life
Our next Social Media Club Austin meeting is scheduled for November 15th at 6 pm. Mark your calendars. David Neff, of the American Cancer Society, and Laura Thomas, of Dell, will be speaking and demonstrating what each of their respective organizations are doing in Second Life. This session will be a great opportunity to see what leaders in the corporate and non-profit arenas are experiencing in SL.
Coworking is Coming to Austin
While we’re still working on getting some permanent coworking digs in Austin - the creative capital of the U.S. - we will have an opportunity to take a test drive. On November 2nd, from 10 am to 5 pm, Jelly-Austin will be happening in the “cellar” of Genuine Joe’s Coffee House. If you’re interested in being a part of coworking history, you need to rsvp because space in the cellar is limited. If you don’t know what coworking is, come check it out and read this in the meantime. We hope to see you there.
